So I still have been having some minor trouble catching her...till Saturday. She walked right up to me and let me rub on her and take her out of the paddock!
I was so amazed. I was going to ride her but instead I took her out and let her graze!
I am so proud of my little Lini!

I have a 21 year old mare that I still have trouble catching. I know that if I never rode her, and just lead her to pasture each time I haltered her, she'd probably walk right up to me and put her nose in the halter.
When I got Denali I COULD NOT catch her to save my life. I finally took all the other horses out of the pasture and just chased her around with a lunge whip to keep her moving. She ran for a good hour or so. I would stop and offer her to come to me, and if she refused I'd start again. She finally came to me I have never had a problem since catching her. She even runs to the gate when I pull in.
Good idea on not riding her, I think making them feel loved instead of worked, helps horses to want to come in. This is all in my opinion!
